Actively involved in the Eastside community, she has served as an advocate for children and education through board and committee work for various organizations and was recognized in 2024 by the Lake Washington Council PTSA with a Golden Acorn award for her decade of service as an Executive board member of her local PTSA.

Native to Manhattan Beach in Southern California, Elysia met her husband working in Yosemite’s backcountry during college. They have made homes in Jackson, Wyoming, as well as Santa Cruz and San Mateo in the California Bay Area. Falling in love with the Kirkland community, where water and mountains converge, they moved north in 2003 to raise their family. Outside of their professional lives, they enjoy walking with their dog Rosie, skiing, hiking, biking, and traveling with family. Elysia is dedicated to wellness, working out, entertaining, and time with friends
